About Us

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
Operation Care-Dallas, Inc. provides for the physical and the spiritual needs of homeless men, women, and children of Dallas and beyond by facilitating services and sharing the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ.

OUR STORY:
Operation Care-Dallas, Inc. is a non-profit ministry that was born from a widow's grief and exists to reach the homeless in Dallas.

Since November 1993, when Susie Jennings and a group of volunteers handed out one hundred (100) blankets to the residents of the Canton Street bridge located in just south of downtown Dallas, “Operation Care - Dallas, Inc. ” has been faithful to carry the message of love and hope to those in need.

From November 1993 to November 2001, this outreach ministry grew in stature, leading its Board to formally file the required documentation for the ministry to become recognized as a tax-free non-profit organization under Section 501 C (3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Leading up to this, Operation Care – Dallas Inc. had assisted organizations in West Africa and Southeast Asia, and provided one thousand (1,000) blankets to shelters and individuals in the Dallas area. With God's help this was accomplished without corporate sponsors or federal assistance.

Operation Care – Dallas, Inc. has grown beyond expectations that even its vision has been expanded to have at least four to five events during the calendar year. Each event generally has a theme. A theme for the spring, or the celebration of Easter is given and personal care products, blankets, Bibles and gospel tracts are distributed to individuals at shelters or on the streets.
